Are most of the people who are trying to use this app on Long Island?
If this is the case would the following work?
Have someone who has version 1.0 log into itunes on another persons iPad and buy the current version of the app (Free obviously) again. Then put a copy of the 1.0 app in that persons iTunes account to replace the 1.0.1 version. I know it is somewhat possible to share apps this way between family members but not sure it will work this way.

Ah. Sorry, I misunderstood.
I'd say don't bother with VPC at all. But at least you have the option of using the Mac, then deciding later as well.

Hi,
I just bought an iPhone 4, and was looking for a nice wallpaper. Then I saw the default surfing wallpaper, it looked nice to me and I setted it as wallpaper. I also did this for my iPad, now I want it too for my MBP 13''. So I moved the wallpaper from my iPad to my Mac, but it looks horrible as the resolution is 1024 x 704. My Mac's resolution is 1280 x 800. It just doesn't look nice. So in iPhoto I resized it to 1280 x 800 but it still doesn't look nice. I dont' have Photoshop, but I know with Photoshop you can do almost everything with a picture. So can you 'master photoshoppers' please resize the image to
1280 x 800 without pixelization, as I'm almost certain that is possible in Photoshop.
Thanks
The Wallpaper:
Dude, the only way to get it without pixelation (as far as I know) is to use Vector Graphics. Try Tineye (http://www.tineye.com).
It may help you with finding that image.

Well, I was thinking $80 for the unit itself. It comes with the original box and controller, power cord, connection cables. Shipping to Spain will be a bit higher than to the US, obviously.
Now, For extra, I can include one more Microsoft controller and then one 3rd party wireless controller if you want. I also have Quatumn Redshift, Jedi Starfighter, Enter the Matrix and some other games. (I'm not at home right now and won't be for three more days, so I am unable to check for you)

resolution independence is going to be a god send to web developers, no more crappy and inaccurate pixel/em sizes. now we'll be able to specify inches and picas hoorah!
and vista will be supporting resolution independence through its WPF foundation layer. it won't be overnight hell like CSS 2.1 it'll take years before it goes mainstream, but the web is going to be a much better place.
as for JPEGs at 72 dpi vs resolution independence beyond the scaling algorithms it's important to look at the increase in resolutions of monitors before going to crazy, 1920x1200 is about the maximum and average consumer is going to have, it's taken a few years from 1024x768 to get there though, three or four at least. i suspect we'll be at a max ratio of 2:1 or maybe 3:1 for quite some time. i don't think we're going to see a drastic need for hi-res images on the web or a plethora of "blurry" images for quite some time.
Specifying sizes in mm and inches would have to be the worst way to do web design. I have good eyesight so i want my webpages to be small, my parents have worse eyesight so they like to scale everything larger, their solution at the moment is to decrease the screen resolution, this is very crude on an lcd. When resolution independence becomes standard they will be able to make everything larger while still maintaining the default resolution of their monitor, but if everyone designs webpages in mm or inches then the webpages wont become bigger, completely defeating the purpose.

thanx jiminaus,
when i typed
which perl
/opt/local/bin/perl
i tried to update that with macports, macports failed to do that.
so now,when i type
which perl
/usr/bin/perl
and when i type "/usr/bin/perl -V" it says that "useithreads=define"
so we are ok now.
but, the command "perl -V" instead of "/usr/bin/perl -V"
it says /opt/local/bin/perl: No such file or directory
so, could you please tell me how i can point to the perl implementation installed in /usr/bin/perl instead of returning me the macports location ?
thanx a lot

I hate to burst your bubble. But most androil phones do not have the latest and greatest OS. How do I know this. I own a Samsung Epic 4g. I just got Froyo. I will probably never see Gingerbread. Until they find a way to update the phones to the latest OS. Android sucks!! I love my iPad and miss the iPhone.
Well at least on Android if you WANT the latest OS you CAN have it. On iPhone if you want to be jailbroken you CANT have the latest OS more times than not, especially lately. If Android sux, switch back to iPhone, see how you love it after you're back.

ABC News reports (http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/ZDM/story?id=2537247)For some reason, T-Mobile's Chief Executive Robert Dotson reportedly discussed "at some length about how Apple's and T-Mobile's visions seem to be aligned."
This is a total no-brainer. T-Mobile doesn't have it's own network, it rents its airtime from Cingular... Apple and Cingular are already in bed. It's a trickle-down effect... T-Mobile wants their own iPhone. Not surprising, really. (and yeah, release the Cracken! (err.. iPhone!)...

Agreed, but the latest nano is pretty poor, was surprised, seems very unapple-like. There is room for a good ultra portable small music player (gyms etc, I see so many ipods) and for them to please, please make a good quality headphone as standard, the ones that come with ipods (of any price) is pathetic. So, let's see what they do.
Why should they make good quality headphones? Seriously, I really don't think that makes any sense for apple or the consumer. Just think about it. Anyone who is serious about getting a nice music listening experience with their iPods will buy some good headphones or did already anyway. So when apple adds high quality headphones to their ipod line (making every ipod cost like 50 EUR more) everyone who already has headphones they like very much (For example I bought some Shures for 100 EUR) would be very very pissed off at buying useless headphones for 50 EUR they never wanted to buy.
As much as I see that a high quality product such as the iPod classic is bundled with something as cheap as the apple earbuds, I just don't want to be forced in buying an expensive headphone which I probably won't like (sound or comfort). Imagine buying a new amplifier for your hifi system and they come bundled with what the producer thought were okay speakers.
Just wanted to clarify that one as this is a very common complain about the iPod line which I just don't see at all.

still the yoobao is superior to this..
Superior? At least the ZooGue doesn't Sleep/Wake with the cover is wrapped to the back. That to me is a deal breaker until the yoobao fixes that.

Type "last" in the Terminal and press enter. Anything labeled as a "crash" is simply an improper shutdown. You can also search in Console.app for "previous shutdown cause", and the numbers given can be cross-referenced for why the machine thinks it turned off.

The entrance you ant is the one by gregs and hsbc. It's open at about 6am ;). If you want in earlier go down to the abbey entrance to the left is a set of stairs. Go down them and cross the service road. Through the fire exit and up the stairs and follow the corridoor. It comes out bang opposite the apple store.

For playing video on my PS3 I just have an external HD that I keep formatted in FAT format so the PS3 can read it. You can just plug it into your computer, load it up then plug it into your PS3 and play files directly off of it. It's easier than any other solution I've seen and is cheaper and simpler to manage.

If it is an iMac, or in fact, any G3, check to see if there is a firmware update that you need to run.
Also on G3's don't you have to install Mac OS X within the first partition (within the first 8gb)?

True, but the response from p0sixninja is legit. I don't think it'll be out anytime soon though.
It's always funny to see stuff like this. The same person says:
"I think it will be out soon"
"I don't think it will be out soon"
"There's no way to know when it'll be out"
So how do you say you think it will, won't, and don't know? I'd recommend that if you don't have an affirmative or a negative answer, don't speculate. It's very confusing for those new to jailbreaking to see people who have zero ties to the developers whatsoever chiming in saying they think there will be a short term or distant term release. If you don't have FIRST HAND knowledge, don't speculate without providing evidence of how you came to make such statement.

Hey Coleman, I have a jailbroken iPad 1. Is there some way that I can download that original ipa? I know how to remove the DR. I can even upload the DRM-stripped ipa to a fileshare site. I just realllllly want to use this on VPN.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Start the bidding at $100 and see where it goes. People love original 1st and 2nd get iPods. I know I've seen some used 5GB models sell for about that and they were a little rough. Otherwise I would just recommend watching some similar ones on eBay to see what the auctions end at.

My roommate is a PC fanatic. He's an engineer, yet he still uses IE instead of Firefox for crying out loud. All of his purchased music is from MusicMatch, and he plays it on the cheapest player he could find.
He recently got a new computer and tried to get his MusicMatch songs to play on it. He has now devoted a couple hours every afternoon for 3 weeks to the project. In his weakened condition, I started showing him how my iTunes music could painlessly hop from computer to computer, and how if he used iTunes, he could stream all of my non-protected music. He was ready to cut his losses and switch to iTunes right there.
Unfortunately, iTunes songs won't play on his player so that was the end of it. There's no way he's paying more than $30 for a player, and there's no iPod that cheap. As a result, he'll never know how much better iTunes (and the rest of mac software) is. Apple had a chance to get their foot in the door, and instead they slammed his own door in his face.
The Shuffle is $79 and will not cost $30 anytime soon, so I guess he's lost anyway.
This was an example when the price of the hardware was limiting, not the iTS incompatibility.

Did you order it from Speck's website? What shipping method did you use? Do you have a estimated delivery date? Thanks.
Ordered from Amazon. Shipping was from 2-5 weeks. It's not in stock. I have an est shipping date of May 5, 2011 - May 25, 2011. That's ok, I'm not in any hurry. Plus I get free super saver shipping.
