My iTrip churns through my iPod's battery charge, wouldn't an LCD screen just make it that much worse? On the other hand, it would be nice to have the option of seeing what station was being broadcast.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
I am also using Parallels n Win 7 in an Intel 320 160GB SSD.
Parallels does NOT partition your drive. Hence Disk Utility will not detect any partition.
Go ahead n just erase.

Hey guys,
I have a pair of noise-canceling headphones I plug into my Macbook, but unfortunately I sometimes can't hear my phone ringing right across from me, which is pretty annoying
Is it possible to plug one pair of headphones into two devices, so that it will receive audio from both my macbook and phone? I don't really know how the wiring works but are there splitters that go from 1 female plug to 2 male plugs?
Thanks
A simple y-cable will not work very well. The simplest thing that can work is a "passive mixer". These are just some jacks and a few resistors. But they cut the sound volume

The ideal thing would be a "real mixer" Mixers allow you to plug in multiple sources and set a volume for each of them and then monitor the mix using headphones. I used this setup to practice electric guitar and listen to a metronome. I plugged the guitar mini-amp into the mixer and the metronome. What a mass or wires but it works
do NOT buy a cheap mixer, audio quality is not good and they will have a lot of self noise (hiss) one of these is not bad.

But wouldn't it be easier to set the phone to flash or vibrate?

How long has this been up? And who edits it? Could you imagine someone buying one and not realizing it was a mistake and then complaining? They'll need to fix this fast......

Did you install the 32-bit or 64-bit version?
Edit: shame on me for not reading original post

I'd rather see an open ended 2D version that utilizes both screens, like Yoshi's Island, and has many moves and animation frames. If the stylus is mandatory then I think I'll pass on this one.

It appears to power the device plugged in, but it doesn't get recognized.
Check your Apple System Profiler and see what it lists as USB ports/devices.

rumours flying round of a PAYG version on Monday - If thats the case, I reckon people will struggle greatly to shift existing ones.
I reckon your pricings about right for now. Its silly to pay over the odds for a mobile which will become out of date in 2 days (and counting...)

I have MAC OS X Lion Developer Preview 2 installed on a partition of my hard drive, and I am a little hesitant to install it completely.
Anyone see something wrong here?

With all respect...if you are having to ask what to do with a DMG, do you really think you should be installing OSX server?
Exactly. OP is not the target audience of OS X server.

I'm running a Quicksilver G4 with 1.25GB ram and it is also a 867MHz model. I'm running Leopard on it. It seems mostly fine to me, a little sluggish sometimes though. I still use it for a bit of web surfing, word processing, spreadsheets, etc. for that level of activity it is fine. In fact, I'm using it now. It always brings a smile to my face when I think this thing is about 10 years old almost (not sure of it's birthdate!), and it is still reliable and more importantly it is actually *functional*.

I am semi interested in the mouse, but more interesting in the 28 states thing. Is that common knowledge that the lower 28 states are cheaper for shipping? or....? lolJust fixed that. I meant the lower 48 states. lol
Let me know if you're still interested. :p

Could be your Internet speed or more so your latency, since all those apps are Internet streaming. Have you done a speed test? Are there other computers or Internet devices on and using bandwidth at the same time?If you have done a speed test did it give you your ping results, and if so what are they?
Edit: also could depend on your intent provider. Some choke the speeds down after x amount of usage.

On the other hand, I am sure you'll be able to buy a thunderbolt card for your Mac Pro at some point. I am not ready to retire mine just yet. For one thing, a MBP is still limited to 8GB of memory. My MP has 14GB in it to support my use of VMWare.
Hopefully someone will come up with some sort of port replicator/dock for the MBP. Back when I used one as a desktop replacement, it was kind of a nuisance to unplug various drives, monitors and power adapters when it came time to hit the road. However, thunderbolt should definitely quiet the complaints of those who need an expresscard slot in their laptops ('cept they'll complain about having to buy a new machine now...).

You should check out VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html). It plays pretty much any video format you can imagine (including WMV).
All but wmv3, which is unfornatley used a lot these days. So you'll be stuck with WMP9 for a while... :(

Second: Greenpois0n 4.2.1 is coming untethered any day now, so you might want to wait...
BUT! Here is how you do it. Unzip it. (unfamiliar with windows unzipping tools) edit: I use stuffit expander free on my mac, and I just found out they have a windows version. go for that. than look for an xxxxxxx.ipsw file. That's your firmware.:D
