Anyone have a good link that describes Tea Party makeup, income, racial, etc? What's the word I'm looking for? I wonder if these people really know what they are asking for? I remember the guy at the Tea Party rally with a sign, leave my Social Security alone, and he was a Tea Party guy...

Hello all,
Lately my G5 1.8 dual has been freezing on first boot and i'm not sure why.
If i hold the power button to shut it down, then reboot it, it works great until i shut it down again. Then it freezes on first boot again. It's been doing this for awhile and i think it could be software issues, but im not sure,
what do you think?

Go to "System Preferences -> Energy Saver" and slide the computer sleep slider to "Never". The system should now never go to sleep unless you tell it to.

What a bag of crap! These musicians whining about how they can no longer demand to be paid large amounts of money for a 3 minute song or a album of 3 good, 3 okay, and 4-6 poor 3 minute songs. In today's market, it takes these guys 2 days of studio time to create an album. Since its digital there is no cost to copy the product so really everything above about $0.05 is pure gravy for the artist, record company, and seller.
Yeah, maybe I'd be bummed about working for a couple of weeks and no longer getting paid $millions like I used to in the 80's, but the record industry was and still is simply a rip-off.
In an age when I can pay $2.00 for an app that can entertain for hours, $1.35 is a lot to ask for a 3 minute song. Especially when the cost of coping that song is close to zero.
Of course, Mellonhead, most of your fanbase (both of them) are not computer literate so you're not missing out on any money from copies. Your albums simply don't sell very well. And don't blame the fact nobody's buying your crappy music on the internet...
The new reality of entertainment is the YouTube generation. Thousands of people are working hard full time to create content they give for free simply for a cut of the ad revenues.

Lossless is half the size of uncompressed. AAC is at least 10 times smaller than uncompressed. If you have 8 GB now, expect it to balloon to 65GB using lossless.

Does anyone remember the old TechTV network? I visited the studio twice, and picked up two business cards. One was given to me by Chris Pirillo, straight from his pocket. He's listed as a host of Call for Help and a Technology Evangelist. I also have one that is just the "Studio" card.
Is anyone interested in these? They're perfect mint condition. Make an offer.

Looking for an Ipod touch 32gb for my sister. Would prefer to be in mint/pristine condition, and willing to pay about $300-$325 for it depending on the condition. If you are looking to unload yours, let me know. I am located in CA.

Are you viewing that jpg in PS? I tried this with the same font in ID and PS CS3 and didn't have the reported effect on screen. My monitor is a 23in Samsung HD panel. What monitor are you using?

I've run my PowerBook and am currently running a Mac Mini (as a PVR) on a widescreen CRT via S-Video. It looks pretty good, especially with TV or DVD in full screen. The resolution is too low to use it as a workable screen (on my CRT TV at least). I'm not sure but I think that S-Video output is limited to SD no matter what the screen is capable of.
The one thing that I found was necessary was to calibrate the screen as the colours were way off.

Does it exist? If so, can someone give me a link? I'm getting a 233mhz G3 PM and want to put it to work.
For a baseline I installed and ran it under OS 8.6 on a 8600/200 PPC. This computer did nothing but crunch for 72 hrs to complete one work unit. So it does work, just real slooow. By the way, your 233 Mhz will take about 24 - 26 hrs to complete a unit. I have a B/W G3/300 that takes 22 - 24 hrs per unit. I also run two G4/450 that are crunching for 12 -14 hrs per unit. My son runs a eMac 1.25 Ghz take crunches a unit in about 7 - 8 hrs. An observation, I think SETI runs better in OS X than OS 9, slightly faster I think. Try it, the worst that can happen is it won't work but try it. My 2 cents.

Maybe have a look at MPEG Streamclip (http://www.squared5.com/) to split audio from video, but transcoding is involved in this too.
The 'Save Track' option doesn't involve transcoding, but it may involve rewrapping.

It does look more like a page formatting issue than the ad resizing itself that big.

If you want everything gone you have to restore and setup as new.
If you restore from your JB backup on file some stuff might carry over.

An ARM processor would be terrible. Every app would have to be reworked, things like VMware would be dead, bootcamp would be dead, etc.
Windows 8 supports ARM.

I my self dont have an answer why it won't open. All I can think of is the menus might be to heavy in native content and layers of stuff. But I can offer you this.
Don't actually design and build your menus in DSP using the native images and text tools. Everything will look pixelated and very bad.
What you should do is design the menu backgrounds in photoshop. It has video template presets to start from.
Or even better and this is how I do it is use either Motion or After Effects. Because by using either of these apps you are starting with correct video display settings. And will export with out any problems as well. No matter if its a still image or flattened QT with motion.
So design everything how you want images, button text placement etc...
Then export and place either that flatten still image or QT in your DSP document in a menu icon as the background.
Now to get the buttons to work you find a style you like in the button preset template tab drag it to your menu. This will create a clickable area for you to use and create your buttons to jump to chapter markers. But instead of actually entering somekind of text, place the button over where you have already designed text to be in the background image/video and just hit the spacebar to put an invisible character in there so there is something to click.
This way everything will as clean and sharp as possible.
