I have a number of JPEGs in grey color profile. This is how the images are saved (the images are digital x-rays). I would like to annotate the images and I use Preview for that. When I save the annotated images the color of the text reverts to grey since image color profile is grey. I need to change them to RGB profile. How can I do that using iphoto or any other software that came with my MacBook Pro?
During my one to one session, my trainer suggested importing image into the Keynote, saving it and then exporting it. It comes out with an RGB profile, however, I need to do this with tens and sometimes hundreds of images (x-rays) and importing each one into keynote is not very efficient. Is there a way to batch converting them from grayscale to RGB?
Thank you for your suggestions.

Can you tell me if you ended up doing this upgrade, and if so, how it went? What were the Spec code and stepping of the 5160's you used?
I am considering the same 5130 -> 5160 upgrade for my 2006 Xserve, and My only hesitation is due to the comments I've seen about different steppings of the processors; I've seen a few mentions that only G0 steppings will work (SLAG9 Spec code).
The 5160's I'm looking at are B2 stepping (SL9RT Spec code), so I'm not sure if they will work out...
Thanks!

I played around with Midomi.com a couple of times. You sing or hum the song and it gives you hits. Unfortunately, it seems like it pulls the results from user-contributed samples only, and it is heavy on the chinese/japanese songs. Otherwise, it seems to actually work fairly well!
It seems like Shazam could easily be modified to do the same thing with their better music database.

As of right now my Time Capsule is sitting on my desk in my office. A friend of mine had his house broken into and had everything stolen, it made me start thinking about protecting my data. I am thinking about running cable and power to my closet and putting my Time Capsule in there. The closet is in the middle of a small house (1600 sq ft ranch), think I will have any signal issues? See any downside to doing this?
Thanks!
Unless your closet is made of bricks I doubt you'll have any problems. Even then it would probably be ok. Either way, you'll know right away.

Air video is by far my more favourite app, especially since the airplay inclusion. No more converting, and can stream stuff, using my ipad as a sort of remote, whatever is on my hard drive, or itunes library. Love it.
A while back, about a year or two ago, I was not able to stream ISO thru Air Video to my iPhone. Can Air Video stream ISO today?

I thought as long as you paid for the replacement, they'd keep giving it to you.

Explain to me how this makes sense. How is a C2D MacBook going to beat out an i5 MBP?

So, the iMac is the best computer (other than the powermac of course) for final cut pro?

I just picked up a DLO HomeDock HD @ Amazon. Retail is $299 but on sale for $34. The dock has on-board software and provides a "media center" like interface. It has its quirks but I like it...especially for the price.
The dock requires that it be connected to a TV. But if you're looking for something that integrates the iPod into a living room entertainment system, this thing is pretty cool.

Certainly great idea.
So my problem again is that text WITHIN the form (Which I added some lorem ipsum to) I can't select individual sentences to copy/paste/edit etc. It chooses huge swaths of text or the whole form instead. This happened both in Mac Office 2008 and Win Office 2007.Your lorem ipsum is protected text. For whatever reason, it appears to be working in reverse. The space to the side of it can be typed-in at will. However, the reverse text, which should be fillable, cannot be.

There is a tutorial around the web for doing this with Adobe Flex for free. Though all of these rely on Flash so no SEO at all.
Next up is have a look for jQuery page flipper, i've seen a few effects built ether in the canvas or with jQuery and these are much more SEO friendly and also free if your willing to put in the work to follow the tutorials and documentation.

Thank you for the link, now I can keep the original 3D icon on my dock.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Thanks Blue Velvet that's the sort of thin I was looking for. I have found a foundry called Parachute (http://www.paratype.com) who specialise in multilingual fonts.

I think as long there are below 40 apps in there, then the Grid view in the Dock works really fine. If more, then the List is the only option, but you need to scroll and search to find the right app (yeah, I know I can use Spotlight to type the name and start it via keyboard). So it would be great to be able to organize apps...

Stick with XP for the Windows version. It was enough of a pain to get it to run under Vista.
Otherwise, I only do GPU folding. 10,000 ppd is hard to beat.
i've got smp folding to work with vista and 7. this is with the newer client though.
and i do a lot of GPU folding, i have 6 GPUs folding right now :)
